Di Giorgio Wines is a small family owned & operated winery in the heart of Coonawarra. Their winery is the 2nd oldest in the region with vines planted as early as 1963 on prime, shallow Terra Rossa soil in their 13.5 hectare property. The Di Giorgio Family are 5th generation winemakers that trace their origins to the small town of Secinaro in Abbruzzo, Italy. In addition to producing premium wines from Coonawarra and Lucindale, Di Giorgio sources specific varietal fruit from different areas of the Limestone Coast where they believe the terroir is best suited to certain grape varieties. A powerful red from the sunny South Aussie Coonawarra Region, the nose opens up with ripe berry fruit, menthol. & oak spice. On the palate, plush & tangy fruit are enveloped by powerful, chewy tannins. The ideal drinking window of this wine is between 2022 to 2030.
Deep ruby color with purple hues. Bouquet shows raspberry, spice and cracked pepper aromas with subtle oak influence. Deliciously ripe raspberry, mulberry and licorice flavours mingle with nuances of black pepper, chocolate and spice, finishing with vibrant black fruit, smooth velvety tannins and toasty vanilla oak.
