Why we love this wine:
Woodsmoke, dark fruit, cocoa powder, and vanilla stand out in combination with chocolate, clove, and cinnamon -- you'll have trouble getting your nose out of the glass! Longer ageing and the use of grapes from older vineyards has helped to achieve this delicious, great value wine. On the palate, it's fruity and fleshy, also semi-sweet. Good acidity and silky tannins. Enjoy with Spanish chorizo.
Winemaker / tasting notes:
Black cherry notes, coffee liqueur, cracked black pepper spice on the nose. Integrated tannins on the spicy, leathery palate, fragrant vanilla spice, nutty oak, chocolately plummy finish. Fresh and well balanced.
