The Burklin-Wolf Estate is based in the Mittelhaardt, the quality core of the the world famous Pfalz Wine Region. Originating in 1597 and with 85 hectares under vine, the Burklin Wolf Estate is the largest family owned wine estate in all of Germany. As far as the discipline of producing dry Rieslings, the Burklin Wolf Estate is simply without peer with the capacity of producing 7 Grand Crus & 7 Premier Crus in any given vintage. They are arguably the best & most consistent producers of great dry Rieslings worldwide. Golden starw in color, the nose is very precise & focused with tart grapefruit aromas along with lemon, lime, wild herbs, & spice characters. Displaying impressive concentration & a strong texture in its finely layered palate, this wine has a very smooth & juicy mouthfeel accented by grapefruit & spice in its dry & extremely satisfying finish.

Winemaker / Tasting Notes

This is a very pithy & concise Gaisbohl Grand Cru. Aromas of mirabelle plums with added herbal whiffs dominate the nose. On the palate, very precise fruit characters with predominant fresh peach notes are manifested within a clear, underlying structure. This wine displays enormous body & tension culminating in a pleasantly long finish.
