Winemaker / Tasting Notes

Arthus d' Olivey lived at Chateau Olivier in the 16th century and gave it its' current name. He transformed the medieval building into a real fortress with 4 towers & moats. It was during this time around 1515 that the first vines were planted on the estate. Showing off an intense garnet colored robe, the nose opens up with pronounced aromas of red cherry fruits. On the palate, this wine exhibits a fairly supple structure with good balance and soft, silky tannins presenting wonderful freshness on the finish.
