Why We Love This Wine
Created in 1930, the Mouton Cadet range is the result of a history between Bordeaux wines and Baron Philippe de Rothschild who was keen on bringing the richness of the Bordeaux region to a wider audience. The know-how of Mouton Cadet serves a single purpose: sharing the "emotion of wine drinking" with customers all over the world while simultaneously fulfilling the ambition of guaranteeing the best quality from grape to glass and preserving & respecting the Bordeaux terroir. Deep garnet red in color, this exquisite red offers a highly complex nose with aromas of ripe black fruit combined with smoke & toast further revealing hints of liquorice & fine spice upon airing. It is rich, full-bodied, & fresh on the palate displaying pronounced black fruit flavors over elegant tannic structure balancing out fruit & oak. Enjoy this classic French Bordeaux with Grilled Ribeye Steak, Porkloin Steak with Mushroom Sauce, or Duck with a Wine Mushroom Sauce.
Winemaker / Tasting Notes
A glittering, deep garnet red in color, this French Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon blend opens up on the nose with subtle blackcurrant notes before revealing blackberry and mild star anise & vanilla spice aromas. On the palate, the initial powerful attack display nicely extracted fruit on rich tannins while the concentrated mid-palate flavors mirror the aromas found on the nose. The finish boasts delicate touches of blackcurrant combined perfectly with elegant & refined tannins belying a firm expression of the Medoc terroir.
