The Dogliani family has lived in Italy's Langhe district for three generations and Beni Batasiolo is the largest family owned winery in the Piedmont Region: one of Italy's most acclaimed winegrowing regions producing elegant wines that are replete with fresh fruit flavors coupled with a vibrant acidity. Cru vineyards in Piedmont produced the most prized & elegant Barolos: Cerequio, Bussia Bonfia, Boscareto, Brunate, and Briccolina. Batasiolo's vines prosper across 9 Beni - or estates - in Piedmont where the estate's soil, climate, & position among the hills produce noble wines of sophistication. Deep garnet red in color, this wine offers aromas of dried fruit, flowers, spices, sweets, and typical delicate herbaceous aromas. On the palate, it displays a fine balance between fresh fruit, tannins, & alcoholic warmth. It is a powerful & persistent wine that likewise displays elegant sophistication & surprising approachability. Pair this wine with red meat, game, roasts, cured meats, and cheese.
Deep garnet red colour. The bouquet has all the typical aromas of the Nebbiolo grape which after refining is flowery and toasty with hints of sweet spices, nuts and typically delicate herbaceous aromas. In the mouth, the perfect balance of tannins, crispness and alcohol content offer bold yet absolutely elegant and pleasing sensations. Good intensity and persistence confirm this wine as one of the best expressions of the Langa.
