Why We Love This Wine
Situated above the fertile Franschoek Valley in the heart of the Cape winelands lies this wine farm that is a seamless blend of unspoiled nature, welcoming hospitality, & exquisite facilities with a host of culinary & viticultural delights set among a working wine farm with a 350 year history. As purists, they believe that to produce wine of true character, it is essential that nature should be the primary winemaker. Their farm is blessed with cool breezes during the warm summer months and stony, clay-rich soil giving their wines their unique personality & style. This wine shows bright straw yellow colors with golden highlights & ample aromas, reminiscent of tropical fruits & grapefruit, mingling with touches of oatmeal, caramel, & nutmeg. A medium-bodied white with richly complex fruit flavors and a crisp, acid finish.
Winemaker / Tasting Notes
A natural & spontaneously fermented white with toasted brioche and lemon preserve notes showing subtle minerality on the finish.
