Deep ruby in color, this wine opens up with bright red fruit, espresso, smoke, & thyme aromas. A fresh, sharp, & crisp medium-bodied & earthy wine, the palate opens up with spicy black raspberries, vanilla, & cassis with added touches of sweet, dark chocolate covered black raspberries providing a soft tannic finish. Serve this wine with classic meat dishes of veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, & roast chicken, braised, grilled, & roasted dishes as well as Asian dishes, hearty tuna courses, mushroom and pasta, and semi-hard cheeses.
Balanced and fresh. Shows lots of berry character. Fleshy, with gentle tannins carrying the bitter plum, black cherry, loam and humus hints through the lightly toasty finish.
