This atypical Sonoma County Rose shows a light amber colored robe consistent with this wine’s aging progression. On the nose, powerful aromas of orange rind, dried figs, & strawberry compote are exhibited along with faint gassy notes. We like this wine’s creamy & buttery mouthfeel balanced out by its persistent acidity. Not really meant as a stand-alone wine, drink this within the next 6 months with soft, creamy cheeses like Brie, Camembert, or Tallegio with Sourdough Rye Bread, mains like Honey Dijon Mustard Chicken, Duck a’l Orange, & Cochinillo Asado, and 70% or higher Dark Chocolate.
This coral colored wine opens up with a fragrant lime rind bouquet with tangerine & cherry hints. On its' light bodied palate, it displays brightness & a nice acid profile with emergent strawberry & lime flavors as well as trace nuances of kiwi & tangerine characters leading to a dry & refreshing finish.
