Established in 1993, Craggy Range is a family owned winery situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Mountain Peak in the premium wine growing area of Hawke's Bay New Zealand. They are focused on becoming one of New Zealand's great wine producers backed by a long term commitment from the Peabody family. Their focus was on selecting bare land, an untouched site to ensure a focus on quality from the very beginning with their search spanning France, America, Australia, and eventually to the edge of the world in New Zealand - a land of mountains, fire, & ice. Here he saw the potential of the country's temperate & maritime climate combined with its youthful soils resulting in a unique growing environment where you can craft wines with freshness, purity, & elegance. Displaying a brilliant rose petal color, this wine exudes wild strawberry & floral notes with underlying dried apricot characters. The palate balances savory & sweet characters with fresh boysenberry & juniper berries with savory undertones. Pair this with Ham, Manchego Cheese, Cured Salmon, & Toasted Sourdough with Butter.
Brilliant rose petal _ salmon in colour. Lifted wild strawberries with underlying savoury notes providing the perfect menagerie. Pomegranate notes are interwoven with toasted pinenuts, whilst the palate is voluminous and full.
