With a Winemaking heritage spanning 14 generations which started in Morgon in 1590, Domaine Dominique Piron specializes in crafting world-class Beaujolais from steep & difficult terrain using the Gamay grape, a cross between Pinot Noir & Gouais varietals, which is the heart & soul of the Beaujolais crus. Grown in the legendary granite soil vineyards of Morgon, the wines produced here are racy & elegant with distinct black cherry & spice notes, have great structures, and possess very good aging potential. This 2015 Brouilly boasts a redolently opulent nose of blue flowers, cherry fruit, cherry brandy, cinnamon, & clove. On the palate, it reflects a good structure with some grippy tannins properly framing very vivid supple red fruit pulp characters. With a balanced acidity and a neat over-all structure, this wine has a vibrance and easy drinking quality to it.
A fresh & elegant wine with very expressive cherry & black currant fruit characters along with a delicate roundness to its finish.
