Why we love this wine:
The first brand of French single varietal wines was created in 1987 : Fortant de France. Its Littorial terroir is influenced by its maritime façade swept by the sea breezes as well as the mistral and tramontine winds and its soil composed of alluvium and young, fertile silt. Red violet in color, the nose opens up with ripe blueberries & soft violet hints. A balanced and powerful wine with pleasant dark berry notes on the palate, pair this with Pasta Amatriciana, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Lasagna, Sausage & Mushroom Pasta, or Ribeye Steak with Creamy Mashed Potatoes & Roasted Vegetables.
Winemaker / tasting notes:
This wine is deep purplish red in color and features an intense nose with notes of blueberry and violets. Round & delectable on the palate with lovely flavors of freshly picked black fruit. Serve this with pasta with powerful sauces and various meat dishes such as Rib Eye Steak with Oven Roasted Vegetables.
