The first brand of French single varietal wines was created in 1987 : Fortant de France. Its Littorial terroir is influenced by its maritime façade swept by the sea breezes as well as the mistral and tramontine winds and its soil composed of alluvium and young, fertile silt. Straw yellow in color, this wine opens up on the nose with aromas of acacia, nectarines, and mango. Full & balanced in the mouth, it displays flavors of exotic fruits on the palate leading up to a long finish. Pair this with appetizers & salads such as Asparagus Mousse witrh Salmon Tartare & Watermelon Salad with Shrimp Scampi, Salmon Benedict, or Cedar Plank Salmon.
The Fortant de France Chardonnay is brilliant straw yellow in color and features a generous nose with nectarine & acacia notes. Round & balanced on the palate with lovely tropical fruit flavors and a long finish.
