Tenuta Il Poggione covers a total area of 530 hectares of which 140 hectares are planted with vines, 50 hectares with olive trees, & the rest are dedicated to grain fields, forest, & livestock. Thanks to its prominent position at an altitude between 150 and 450 meters above sea level, the vineyards (including Vigna Paganelli planted in 1964) benefit from their proximity to Mount Arriata and the Tyrrhenian Sea. This large altitude gap, together with the age of the vineyards, promotes easier harvests & allows the production of structured wines with long ageing potential regardless of weather conditions. Ruby red in color, this red wine blend has an expressive & intense nose with notes of red fruit, sweet spices, & vanilla. It is soft on the palate with a pleasant acidity. Have this with White Meat Pasta, Pizza, & Medium Strength Cheeses.
An intense red blend featuring aromas & flavors of red fruit & sweet spices with vanilla touches balanced out by a soft & pleasant acidity.
