The Chateau Bouteilley Estate, located on the clay-limestone hillsides of Yvrac, has belonged to the Guillot Family since 1617. The wines are made in their own state-of-the-art winery fitted with specially designed & patented stainless steel tanks enabling consistently efficient temperature control and good maceration conditions. Dark red in color with an intriguingly complex nose displaying vanilla bean & stewed fruit characters providing a full & well rounded mouthfeel with a delicate balance and a persistent, lingering finish. Pair this wine with Grilled or Sauced Red Meat, Poultry, and semi-hard cheeses.
The wine is an intense dark red with ruby highlights. On first pour, aromas of stewed red fruits and black cherries are exuded, enhanced by an extremely refined toasted oak note. Full, generous attack on the palate leading into a fresh, easy-drinking mid-palate displaying good volume. The finish is driven by ripe, velvety tannins and gives an impression of natural elegance with lengthy aromatic presistency revealing more of the fruity nose aromatics. Can be savoured young whilst still lush and fruit-forward but also boasts real ageability due to a strong personality.
