L'Hospitalet de Gazin is the 2nd wine of Chateau Gazin, neighbor to the famed Chateau Petrus. At one point, Gazin even sold land to Petrus - provenance therefore assured. Chateau Gazin, at 26 hectares, is the largest of the top Pomerol Estates. One of the very greatest value buys in Pomerol, the L' Hospitalet de Gazin Pomerol 2014 has a dense, virtually opaque garnet color with an immensely stylish nose revealing red fruited perfume & earthy aromas with touches of oak. The palate shows lovely weight with dense & generous fruit flavors as well as excellent concentration culminating in a fresh, pure, & intense finish.
