Country of Origin: France
Region: Rhone Valley
Type: Red wine
Grape variety: Syrah
The Syrah used for this wine were hand harvested at maturity from organically grown grapes from vines at least 25 years old. Grown on the South facing slopes in the alluvial terroir of Crozes Hermitage formed from the Rhone & Isere rivers, the subtle balance and pronounced minerality of this wine is formed in part by the soil of the area which consists of clay, pebbles, & gravel. Boasting fleshy & elegant tannins, this wine has loads of floral & black fruit notes which makes for very versatile food pairing with meat, poultry, roast pork, and a wide variety of cheeses. This wine has an ageing potential of anywhere between 5 to 7 years.
A very intense, purplish red in color, this classic French Red wine from the famous Rhone Valley opens up with aromas of red fruits, black currant, & raspberry with trace hints of violets on the nose. On the palate, it is ample & round with stewed fruit flavors & traces of vanilla on the finish from ageing in French oak.
