The 2018 Massal 1945 Malbec is from a cooler year that delivered fresh wines with moderate alcohol. The Malbec vines are scattered among the Cabernet Sauvignon, planted in 1945, and were picked separately, fermented in open 500-liter bins with indigenous yeasts and matured in neutral 300-liter oak barrels for 12 months. It's floral and varietal, clean and expressive, with moderate alcohol and good freshness, fine tannins and tasty, focused flavors. This is a varietal, floral and expressive Malbec. 1,200 bottles were filled in June 2019
