Mulderbosch was founded with a dream of producing wine that consistently reflect innovation, creativity, & excellence. All their wines are certified as wines originating in the Stellenbosch Region where a cooler climate prevails. From these cooler locations in the South to South East facing slopes in close proximity to False Bay, they are able to yield grapes of intense flavor & balanced acidity. All their wines are ready to be enjoyed upon release but, with careful cellaring, will mature for a further 10 to 15 years. This wine is a celebration of Bordeaux's great tradition of blending noble varieties. Pronounced cassis aromas are followed by dried figs, dates, & clove hints on the nose. The palate entry is soft displaying a fine, chalky texture with fruit aromas manifesting as fleshy ripe flavors balanced out by earthy, savory characters. It displays serious structure & delightful fruit making it approachable in its youth but it will gain added complexity with further cellaring.
A complex red blend evoking berry fruit aromas of mulberries & blueberries with layers of fruit flavors culminating in a powerful & savory finish borne out of 18 months ageing in French oak.
