Country of Origin: Portugal
Type: White wine
Grape variety: Viosinho/Gouveio/Codega do Larinho
Pale straw yellow in color, the nose displays a plenitude of aromas like green apple, grapefruit, & pomegranate with creamy citrus whiffs reminiscent of lemon & key lime pie as well as added redolent touches of honeysuckle. We love how light it is on the palate with its balanced acidity & creamy mouthfeel. This easy & elevated, everyday-drinking white would pair well with Creamed Spinach Dip, Spinach Ricotta Pastry, Pulpo (Octopus) Tapas, and the local dish Pininyahang Manok (Coconut Milk Infused Pineapple Chicken)
The healthy grapes arrive at our Winery in perfect, pristine condition. With such fresh & flavorful fruit, we knew that the only way to do justice to them was to make a great wine. From the onset, we had every intention to preserve the freshness of the grapes so oxygen was avoided at all times. The grapes started being pressed at about 8 degrees Celsius to preserve their light color and pure flavors. With indigenous Portuguese grapes coming from our vineyards and a couple of our neighbors, we had the highest degree of confidence in the fermentation potential of these grapes.
