Why we love this wine:

This is a great tasting dessert wine that is dark ruby color with concentration of red fruit and hints of black pepper.Full-bodied with good structure, lots of tannins and great length.

Winemaker / tasting notes:

Port wines, also known as Porto, are sweet, red fortified wines from Portugal produced exclusively in the Douro Valley, often served as a dessert wine, often with cheese, nuts or chocolate; white and aged style Tawny ports are often served as aperitif. Port wine is typically richer, sweeter, heavier, and higher in alcohol content than unfortified wines.

Porto Quevedo LBV (which stands for Late-bottled Vintage) is of a ruby colour, with an aroma of red fruit such as cherry, raspberry and red currant. In the mouth, it is full bodied and dense with clear tannins with some fruity nuances evocative of plum and black fruit jam.

Just as any port wines, it is advised to be served with dessert, especially with cheese or chocolate.
