Why we love this wine:

Finally, a red vino that pairs magnificently with chocolate.

A popular way to serve Ruby Port in the summer (with a meal) is on the rocks with a peel of lemon!

Winemaker / tasting notes:

Port wines, also known as Porto, are sweet, red fortified wines from Portugal produced exclusively in the Douro Valley, often served as a dessert wine, often with cheese, nuts or chocolate; white and aged style Tawny ports are often served as aperitif. Port wine is typically richer, sweeter, heavier, and higher in alcohol content than unfortified wines.

This ruby coloured wine has aroma of red fruit such as cherry, raspberry and red currant. In the mouth, it is full bodied and dense with clear tannins with some fruity nuances evocative of plum and black fruit jam.
