With a long history in the Barossa Valley in Australia, the Thorn-Clark family boasts 6 generations of involvement in the wine industry. They just recently started their own Sandpiper label in 1998 consistently producing great value wines of surprising character. Displaying a deep garnet color with purple hues, the nose evokes lifted red plum & dark cherry aromas along with added touches of 5 spice notes. On its medium-bodied & juicy palate, it reveals opulent red fruit flavors complemented soft & plush tannins. Added savory characters lend this wine both elegance & restraint on its long, fruity finish. Pair this Barossa Valley Red with Roasted Lamb and Beef or Venison Stew.

This wine evokes rich plum and blackberry aromas on the nose. On its' medium-bodied palate, ripe berries and Christmas spice are prevalent with added vestiges of savory oak notes.
