Te Mata Estate has been at the forefront of the modern rejuvenation of the New Zealand wine scene over the last 40 years being large enough to be well resourced but small enough to concentrate on detail. Deep brilliant crimson with a cherry edge, this wine sparkles with lifted candy apple, strawberry, & star anise on the nose. Soft & luscious, its palate overflows with crushed red summer fruit, wild raspberry, and cherry. Hints of rosewater & aniseed come to the fore in this wine's sumptuous finish.

Made in the traditional French Beaujolais style, this fresh & supple red leads with floral & berry aromas before opening up with ripe plum flavors & vestiges of spice on the palate further accented by soft & gentle tannins.
