Winemaker / Tasting Notes
Intensely aromatic and orange in color with natural sediments, this is not your typical 'white' wine. Organically farmed, light-colored Fiano grapes are fermented with their skins in clay amphoras for an extremely long period of 220 days. With nothing added and nothing taken away, the result is a pleasantly funky wine with lots of umami savoriness and citrusy flavors. Aromas of walnut, brown sugar, and burnt orange zest remind us of classic old fashioned cocktails. And the tannic black tea sensation adds another layer to the waxy mouthfeel that Fiano wines are known for. This is a wine for the curious and adventurous.
