The First Lady wines are a tribute to Norma Ratcliffe, who started making wine on the Warwick Estate in the 1970s. Many consider her to be the "First Lady" of the South African Wine Industry. This medium to full-bodied South African Chardonnay opens up with lightly toasted spice, brioche, & grilled apple aromas with added whiffs of star anise & orange blossom scents. The palate is bright, precise, & focused with a fine acidity that ably complements the vivid citrus & tart Granny Smith Apple flavors culminating in a mouthwatering finish with subtle hints of toast & spice.
