Wild Rock Vineyards is a producer of premium crafted wines situated in New Zealand's prime wine growing districts of Hawke's Bay & Marlborough. Their name was inspired by the first great voyage of Captain James Cook & Sir Joseph Banks to New Zealand where they espied the wild rock formations along its coastline from the sea back in 1769. The Wild Rock labels incorporate their drawings of New Zealand's flora & fauna from their initial expedition. Pale lime to pale straw yellow in color, the nose exhibits lifted Kaffir lime, passionfruit pulp, & lemon zest aromas. Wonderfully refreshing, the palate is flush with fruit flavors of concentrated citrus & tropical fruit with a vibrant acid backbone. Pair this wine with Ceviche, Fresh Oysters, & Wild Rice Salad.
Named after the grower nicknamed "Goose" and due to the distinctive flavour of gooseberries in Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh and zesty citrus is paired with crisp herbal notes and gooseberries. Marlborough produces a beautifully balanced and fresh Sauvignon Blanc.
