Customers can now get recommendations from wine experts and browse Winery.ph’s collection of over 2,500 bottles in person at the Global Cellar Door showroom in Makati.

Winery.ph, the country’s largest online wine marketplace, has launched its Global Cellar Door showroom, a venture that brings a wide selection of wines and immersive experiences from its website to the accessibility of Filipinos.

With a commitment to stand by their mission, Vino for the Filipino, Winery.ph's Global Cellar Door is set to redefine the way people discover and enjoy wine. This platform bridges the gap between wine enthusiasts and different winemakers from across the globe, offering an extensive selection of wine, from great-value favorites to top-shelf choices, curated by an expert team of sommeliers and educators certified by the globally-recognized Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET).

“From browsing over 2,500 different bottles on our website, we’ve now made wine more approachable through our Global Cellar Door,” says Chris Urbano, Winery.ph founder and Managing Director. “The wine and liquor market in the Philippines has opened up tremendously since the lockdowns in 2020 – and just like how we strove to cater to our Kavinos then, we adapt to what our customers look for now, which is for them to see and feel the bottles before actually making the purchase.”

“I feel like this space opens up more opportunities to really make wine less intimidating,” adds Winery.ph Showroom Consultant and in-house sommelier Mathieu Gendre. “There will always be a wine expert present to give recommendations or friendly advice. And in addition to being a showroom, we offer complimentary pours here on Saturdays, which is a great way to learn about wine with the experts here at Winery.ph.”
