Winemaker / Tasting Notes
The story of Clarendelle is directly linked to the iconic first growth estate of Chateau Haut Brion in Bordeaux. In 2005, nearly 75 years after Clarence Dillon purchased the original Chateau Haut Brion, his great grandson (& President of Domaine Clarence Dillon) Prince Robert of Luxembourg launched a new super premium branded wine he named Clarendelle in honor of his great grandfather. This brand was established as an affordable alternative to the Haut Brion and La Mission Haut Brion labels. A deep ruby red in color, the nose opens up with core aromas of red & blue fruit along with fresh tobacco, cedarwood, and leafy hints. The palate is very plush revealing rich & concentrated red plums & berries with a dense yet fine mouthfeel culminating in a sharply focused, long, & elegant finish.
