Founded in the late 1990s by fresh food business mogul Gonzalo Vial, Vina Ventisquero began making wine in the year 2000 with a single purpose of creating distinctive, high quality wines that resonate with their target audience globally. Under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Felipe Tosso, the Winery was 1st established in the coastal Maipo Valley shortly followed by expansion into the Casablanca Valley and the prestigious Apalta Valley for their premium wine range. Continually undergoing extensive research to extract the most accurate expressions of Chile's unique terroir, Vina Ventisquero now counts Estate Vineyards in the country's top wine producing areas: Maipo Valley, Casablanca Valley, Apalta Valley, Leyda, and the Colchagua Valley. Deep garnet in color with ruby tinged hues, the nose evinces the classic fruity characteristics of the Maipo Coast opening up with fruitlas, raspberry, & cassis aromas blended with traces of black pepper, tobacco, & moist earth scents. On the palate, it is elegant & smooth with a balanced structure, good acidity, & a heightened degree of complexity. Soft tannins are present carrying through to a prolonged & persistent finish.

Winemaker / Tasting Notes

Color is intense deep ruby red with the aroma of cassis and red fruit with traces of vanilla. On the palate, it has a rich structure of firm and ripe tannins.
