The 2019 growing season was a classic vintage that produced wines with impressive color and vibrant flavors. This Columbia Valley Syrah offers beautiful characteristics of sweet spice, black olive tapenade and blueberry notes. It has wonderful complexity and is well balanced with a richly textured mid-palate and lengthy finish. Select vineyards that exhibit beautiful structure and distinctive varietal character were chosen for the final blend. Candy Mountain Vineyard gives the wine its richness and full body while a 1993 planting at Dutchman’s Vineyard in the Yakima Valley enhances its brightness. Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Red Mountain AVA was added to the blend to highlight the texture and structure of the wine. Aged 18 months in 70% neutral, 30% new oak barrels.
