Why We Love This Wine
The wine, its land, a century of family work, four generations and an immense love of their land characterize the Massolino Estate. The Massolino family has always made their wine here - at their home in Serralunga D' Alba. Massolino wines are a result of a privileged relationship with the vineyard: interpreting all its idiosyncracies & eccentricities to get the most out of it. This is a relationship built daily supervising every moment in the production chain of their 23 hectare vineyard - from the vineyard to the cellar, from the vine to to the bottle. Bright straw yellow in color with limited perlage, it has an immensely fresh & intense bouquet that reveals decisive fruit notes with pronounced sage aromas. It is expansive & enveloping but not too sweet on the palate with Moscato Grape aromas and a very long, delicious finish. This wine will absolutely sing with desserts like Langhe Hazelnut Cake, Apple & Pine Nut Cake, Lemon Cake, Christmas Pannetonne, & Mature, slightly Spicy Cheeses.
