Why we love this wine:
A great value Californian Cabernet Sauvignon, with beautiful dark colour and ripe cherry character.
It's gorgeous with grilled sausages or a cheese board at a holiday gathering, but it easily satisfies on its own.
Winemaker / tasting notes:
The new blend of Beringer Founders’ Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from some of California’s most renowned as well as emerging appellations. Over half of the wine comes from coastal vineyards, including Paso Robles and Monterey, while vineyards of Lodi, San Joaquin and Sacramento counties comprise the balance of the blend.
This has a distinct varietal profile full of dark, rich red fruit characteristics, enriched by toasted oak and spice from aging on French oak. Structured tannins and a long finish make this unmistakably a California Cabernet that can be enjoyed immediately. Pair this wine with anything from an elegant duck dish to hearty barbeque pork ribs.
