Description / Tasting Notes
Bold, passionate and completely unique, Campari is the world famous red Italian aperitif. Its secret recipe, originated in Novara in 1860. A translucent dark red liqueur that's most commonly drunk by itself as an aperitif (before a meal) or in cocktails like the Negroni - popular Italian cocktail. It's made from herbs and fruit, and is often referred to as bitter. The initial taste is rather sweet, but fades quickly to reveal a pleasant burst of citrus followed by a complex herbal medley of flavour. This is a bitter-tasting drink that likes to assert itself by hanging around on the palate for quite some time after the last drop. Enjoy Campari over ice with freshly squeezed orange juice, premium soda water or mixed in classic and contemporary cocktails including the Negroni and Americano HOW TO MAKE A NEGRONI 1. Pour in equal parts of the Campari, the Vermouth Rosso and the Gin, 2. Stir into glass over ice. 3. Top with an orange peel.
