Showing off a beautifully bright ruby colored robe, the nose opens up with pureed raspberry, gooseberry, red currant, & blackberry fruit aromas. With further aging, the aromas evolve towards riper notes of fruit syrup followed by fresh tobacco and wet undergrowth. The flavors on the palate are reminiscent of great Burgundies boasting a fresh, velvety texture, wonderfully concentrated fruit, & elegant tannins seamlessly melded together. The finish is long & refined with some touches of fruit jam characters.
