Winemaker / Tasting Notes

Finca Villacreces is produced from low-yielding, certified organic vineyards located over 700 metres of altitude. The wine demonstrates deep ruby with a reddish rim color. It has a classic and elegant aromas of toast and spices that, as this blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot opens, evolve into hypnotic notions of black fruit (notably blueberries and damson), Tahitian vanilla, Ghana cocoa, Havana cigars, fresh liquorice, balsam, underbrush and wet leaves. Crafted with precision, the wine has a smooth, vibrant texture, some yummy tannins and a steely acidity. It boasts a long finish with some smoky remembrances and a note of graphite and wet stone.
