Winemaker / Tasting Notes

Copper Lane Shiraz Merlot appears an intense red in the glass with an almost black core. Out of the glass stream notes of ripe black berries, liquorice and warm spices. In the mouth the wine is experienced as full-bodied and wonderfully balanced. The same notes are present here as in the fragrance, supplemented by hints of pepper and beautifully integrated tannins. Copper Lane shows off all of South Africa's strength and warmth in a glass of wine that continues to linger in the mouth long after the last drops have been enjoyed. This is a very special wine that does not disappoint. Pair with a rare steak, spiced ragouts or casseroles, mature cheeses or simply to enjoy on unexpected occasions.
