Why We Love This Wine

Valdepenas takes its name from the ancient city by the same name that lies on a sun baked river valley dotted by small rocky formations (Val-de-penas - Valley of Rocks). This region experiences extreme weather conditions with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in the summer and -10 degrees in the winter. Deep ruby red in color with violet reflections, it displays intense floral aromas of blueberries and red berries. It showcases an ample palate that is warm & silky with great balance & pleasant tannins. Pair this with light tapas like Jamon Serrano, chorizo, Paella, meat dishes with vegetables, and Manchego semi-curado cheese.
