Why We Love This Wine

Valdepenas takes its name from the ancient city by the same name that lies on a sun baked river valley dotted by small rocky formations (Val-de-penas - Valley of Rocks). This region experiences extreme weather conditions with temperatures reaching 40 degrees in the summer and -10 degrees in the winter. This wine displays a color of brilliant lemon yellow with green reflections. Aromas of exotic fruit & herbs with citrus notes is balanced out by its soft body bringing flavors of pineapple, pear, & apple along towards a pleasant finish. A perfect accompaniment for starters like fresh cheese, salads, seafood, and fried Hake fish or Hake fish in a green herb sauce.
