Why we love this wine:
So, why is this Rioja Crianza special? Five generations of expertise, evenly ripened grapes, and maturation in French and American oak. With a few months in bottle, too, this wine's flavours are wonderfully integrated. Just-ripe berry and leafy freshness with sweet flavours of vanilla and chocolate, we won't be surprised with all the sniffing and slurping! Great to pair with tapas, roasted meats, and Iberian cold cuts.
Winemaker / tasting notes:
This Beronia Crianza 2016 is a clean, bright cherry colour. Fresh on the nose with herbaceous aromas of thyme and rosemary but also displays fruity notes such as cherry and blueberry. The wine is complex on the nose, developing aromas of orange and cinnamon. On the palate, it is equally complex, with sweet flavours of vanilla and milk chocolate, from the American oak, standing out. Pleasant, full-bodied with a very long finish.
