Juicy and fruit-driven, yet nuanced with notes of cedar and earthy undertones, this wine presents itself with supple Merlot notes of black fruit, plum, and spices. Aged predominantly in second-fill French oak, Elderton Barossa Merlot has a medium-bodied mouthfeel and finishes with hints of vanilla.

Winemaker / tasting notes:

The 2018 Merlot shows a vibrancy and juiciness. It is cool fermented, under 22C, and so has retained its fruit forward flavours. Ripeness in the vineyard has also ensured a soft supple palate. - Richard Langford
