Heartland is the place between the vines with the best view of the gum trees. The cool climate of Langhorne Creek typifies Australia at its finest. Heartland grows & selects grapes with the most flavor per acre through careful vineyard management & years of collective expertise. With a 160 year history of winemaking, the Langhorne Creek Wine Region sits atop an ancient, natural floodplain between the Bremer & Angus Rivers on the shores of Lake Alexandrina and it was these fertile alluvial soils that attracted settlers here who eventually cultivated the land. This is a rich, ripe Shiraz - Cab blend that opens up with aromas of cola, plums, olive, & ground black pepper complemented by hints of mint & vanilla oak. The palate is bold, plush, & sweet fruited with chunky oak that shows up prominently on the finish.
