Why We Love This Wine

Technically a non-vintage blend made from 40% Primitivo grapes from Puglia, 30% Montepulciano from Abruzzo, 20% Nero d'Avola from Sicily, and 10% Merlot from Veneto, the Memoro Rosso begins with a pleasant & inviting nose of dark cherry fruit, figs, savory aromas, & vanilla with a little bit of oak spice. Garnet in color, the palate reveals smooth & sweet strawberry compote & stewed red fruit along with touches of prune, raisin, vanilla, oak, & faint leather notes. We like its soft tannins, light acidity, & jammy fruit flavors reminiscent of Port but with a dry, complex palate supported by an elegant structure & perfectly integrated tannins. A unique & crowd pleasing blend that is a great choice for fans of sweeter reds, this wine would be a great choice to pair with Tomato & Basil Pasta, Lasagna and even decadent desserts like Burnt Basque Cheesecake and Tira Misu.
