Winemaker / Tasting Notes

Dourthe No 1 red 2011 is deep garnet red in colour. The intensely perfumed bouquet of red fruits (and spices) reveals delicately toasted notes, bringing additional charm. Initially direct on the palate, the wine is full and aromatic. The structure is well balanced, with clearly visible, round and delicate tannins, and freshness, which brings attractive depth to the wine. The long finish combines fruit intensity with beautifully integrated oaky notes Red and white meat (entrecôte bordelaise, minute steak, beef tartare, neck of lamb, leg of mutton, duck magret), vegetables and side dishes (gratin dauphinois), cheese.
