Why We Love This Wine
Born of the Waihopai Valley, The Ned represents the vibrant diversity prevalent in the Marlborough wine growing region. The Ned Mountain here served as the playground for Marisco Vineyards founder Brent Marris in his youth and as his inspiration in his adult years. The ethos "Young At Heart" encapsulates and permeates the very essence of these wines; a true expression of grassroots winemaking that places the energy & liveliness of adventure in every bottle. Delightfully ripe aromas of gooseberry & white peach are laced with refreshing notes of kaffir lime. The fleshy mid-palate is tamed by an underlying minerally acid backbone that culminates in a bright, zesty finish. Pair this with Fresh New Zealand Scallops sauteed in a Garlic Butter Sauce with a side of Crunchy Garden Green Salad.
