The wine, its land, a century of family work, four generations and an immense love of their land characterize the Massolino Estate. The Massolino family has always made their wine here - at their home in Serralunga D' Alba. Massolino wines are a result of a privileged relationship with the vineyard: interpreting all its idiosyncracies & eccentricities to get the most out of it. This is a relationship built daily supervising every moment in the production chain of their 23 hectare vineyard - from the vineyard to the cellar, from the vine to to the bottle. A deep purplish almost impenetrable red in color, it has an elegantly sweet & tempting bouquet with intense fruit characters. On the palate, it is vinous, fresh, well-balanced, & easy to drink. Tasty & rich with a balanced mouthfeel, this wine will pair excellently with Pasta, Rice & Soup, Risotto, Braised or Grilled Meats, Medium to Mature Cheeses, & Charcuterie.
