Why We Love This Wine

The Taittinger family has managed the Champagne House for nearly a century. With its family name on the label, this demands constant accountability from them in their pursuit of excellence combining the skills & knowledge of the past with a firm commitment to the future. Today, the Taittinger Champagne House is run by the triumvirate of Pierre Emmanuel, his son Clovis, and his daughter Vitalie. There are elements of uniqueness, passion, & poetry in how they cultivate their vines. They firmly believe that Champagne is the best way to convey love in any language given that this Celebratory wine is the most wonderful prelude to any special occasion. A light & dry Champagne of great elegance and finesse. Delicate with citrus & light toasty characters, it has a clear, very pale golden yellow color with small, persistent bubbles. It exhibits delicate yeasty biscuit with brioche, honeysuckle, and lemon meringue zestiness on the nose. It has a dry, sharp acidity with underripe apple and Granny Smith Apple flavors with biscuits & creme brulees characters accented by toasted almond & faint honey hints. Its elegant acidity is balanced out by a slight honeyed sweetness that culminates in a long, fresh finish. Enjoy this wine as an aperitif, with Smoked Salmon, or with Classic Fish & Chips.

Winemaker / Tasting Notes

On the palate the attack is fresh and lively, expressing delicate flavours of fruit and honey. The finish offers a hint of grapefruit. A non-vintage produced with an exceptional proportion of first press wine. Ageing prior to release : 3 to 4 years.
