One of Germany's blue chip estates hailing from a prominent family dynasty dating back 300 years, the Basserman Jordan Family Estate helped shape the wine industry in Germany with their family's involvement in both business and politics. One of their famous clients in the 19th century was famous German writer, statesman, & wine lover Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The Basserman Jordan Estates encompass 49 hectares in 20 different sites such as Hohenmorgen, Kirchenstuck, & Jesuitengarten in the premier winegrowing region of Pfalz, Germany. They practice bio-diverse viticulture and sustainable winemaking. Intensely fruity on the nose with honeyed papaya, mango, & grapefruit, this sweet & luscious Riesling boasts a superb array of pineapple, kumquat, & super ripe melon fruit flavors balanced out by a silky minerality. Enjoy this luscious dessert wine with fruit based desserts like cherry pie or blueberry cheesecake and French Baguette with foie gras or blue cheese.
Like a delicious dessert, this features macerated peach, orange and lemon notes, with a bright structure and a creamy texture. Well balanced with a mouthwatering finish. Best from 2011 through 2028.
