From the small village of Nackenheim situated on the banks of the River Rhine at the foot of the Rothenberg mountains in Rheinhessen Germany, stands the prestigious 6th generation Nackenheim Rothenburg Family Estate vineyards of Gunderloch founded by Carl Gunderloch in 1890. Ever since, winegrowing has been a communal experience with the Gunderloch family from generation to generation allowing them to make the most out of this area characterized by rich, red volcanic soil in crafting delicate Rieslings of the highest quality. Bright golden in color with the perfect balance of sweetness & acidity, this dessert wine opens up with complex & intense but refined aromas of quince, peach, apricot, honey, & dried fruit. On the palate, light stone fruit flavors with honey tones & light motifs of minerals & green tea all lead up to graceful & long lasting finish. Pair this with dark chocolate cake & cream, Blue Cheese, Greek Yoghurt with Pistachios & honey, Honey Lavender Macarons, or Chewy Ginger Cookies.
Great classic nose of flint and waxy honey and apricot. On the palate so juicy and fresh and viscous coating the mouth, intense sweet peach fruit, great minerality and a tickling acidity. Great balance and such a sweet and seductive nectar.
